Uber: #UberWishes New Year Activation For the 2016 New Year, Uber launched an on-demand "Live Wishes" experience. Users on UberWishes.fr could "order" personalized greetings, mimicking the actual Uber app workflow. Once a request was placed, a fleet of RC cars equipped with live cameras navigated a 40-meter indoor track within Uber's headquarters. As the car reached a specific department, employees delivered live video greetings streamed directly to YouTube. I led the development of the complex backend architecture, including the user management system, real-time social media notifications (Twitter/Facebook), and a dedicated internal mobile app for employees to identify arriving "passengers" and deliver personalized messages.
Internal Tools: Built a mobile dashboard for Uber employees to manage "ride" destinations and retrieve real-time user data for personalized interactions.
Scalability: Managed high-traffic infrastructure handling 20,000+ visits and 2,000+ requests within a single day.
Impact: The operation successfully propelled #UberWishes to the #1 trending topic on Twitter in France for the duration of the event.
