For the 2015 Roland Garros tournament, we developed an interactive installation for ENGIE designed to measure the energy generated by a user's tennis serve. We engineered a custom-made connected racket using 3D printing, equipped with embedded gyroscopes and accelerometers. The onboard electronics communicated via radio and Bluetooth with a real-time 3D application that displayed live instructions and performance metrics. To further refine the data, a Kinect 2 sensor was integrated to analyze player movement and posture. The experience was backed by a centralized web database and back-office system to manage player rankings, daily rewards, and lead generation, while a synchronized tablet registration system ensured seamless queue management.
